So, we're still waiting on stuff. Mostly letters and contracts and stuff that need to be signed and faxed before they will start processing our visas. They have changed our "YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO BE THERE BY" date from June 1 to August 1, so the theoretical plan (since we have no visas or anything and don't know how long until we will have them) is to visit in mid-June to find a school and house, and then move in July sometime.
In the meantime, Megan's last day of school was today, and it is officially summer at our house! With about $100 worth of crafts in a paper sack, I hope to make it through the summer without incident. We have her enrolled in a summer camp, too, so I can keep up with my photography business and all the lose ends that will soon make themselves known around here.
Hopefully we will know things like dates and such in a few more weeks. Waiting is just so AWESOME! It makes for very boring and monotonous blogging.

The Ties That Bind
Ok, so I am super excited that we finally have an answer. At the same time, any time I think about leaving my friends, family and community here I totally bust up crying. It doesn't help (and this is NOT a complaint) that when some people hear the news they reply, "Oh, how sad" or "Oh no! You can't leave!" Don't get me wrong- if I could take my entire group of friends and neighbors with me, I would do it.
I am so glad we will be missed- we are going to miss the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks out of you guys, too. But I don't want to think about it yet- I will cry the entire flight over, I PROMISE. Until that time, I want to share laughter with you guys, and photos, and wine, and tears, but most of all TIME. Let us soak you in one more time before we go, because it's going to feel like a drought once we get there.

Wait, wait, wait. Wait!
Yeah.
So, we're waiting on Dutch Immigration (which, no coincidence, if I ever start a Funk/Emo/Polka band, I am SO gonna name it Dutch Immigration). And we're also waiting on HR, too.
It's all good- I am SO good at waiting.
